The following is an archive of communications sent by the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost to faculty, staff, and/or students.

Dr. Eric Watkins has been appointed as vice provost for distributed learning, effective September 12, 2022.

Dr. Bianet Castellanos has been appointed as the next director of the University’s Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), effective September 26, 2022.

I am writing to remind you about the potential need to provide accommodations for students observing religious holidays, per the Makeup Work for Legitimate Absences policy.

I write to provide details for spring instruction within the framework described in President Gabel’s message, sent Wednesday, January 5.

As the days get shorter and colder, and the semester winds down, we would like to take a moment to honor your resilience through what has been an unprecedented period of global upheaval and uncertainty. We also acknowledge the toll that this pandemic may have taken on mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing since March 2020.

A reminder of resources available to help both instructors and students promote and protect academic integrity.

As with fall 2021, we are relying on instructors and academic leadership to identify the appropriate modality for classes in spring 2022.
