Search for the Director of the Center for Educational Innovation
We invite nominations and applications from members of the University system faculty and academic professionals for an innovative and collaborative leader to direct the University’s Center for Educational Innovation (CEI) at a transformative time for teaching and learning.
The director will align CEI’s work in ways that advance MPact 2025 commitments by:
- leading and partnering with central administration, colleges/campuses, departments/divisions, and instructors to enhance high-quality educational offerings that promote student success and advance student mental health, inclusion, accessibility, and equity;
- accelerating the adoption of research-informed instructional practices that improve students’ experiences of community and belonging and educational outcomes in their courses and academic programs; and
- cultivating community for faculty, instructors, and graduate students through professional learning experiences and courses that foster a sense of belonging around teaching.
The director will report to the vice provost for faculty and academic affairs and will oversee CEI programs, operations, staff, and resources.
The position, open only to current UMN faculty members and academic professionals, is an annually renewable, 12-month, academic administrative appointment, which can range between 50% and 100%. We seek to fill this position as soon as possible, although the start date is negotiable depending upon prior commitments and responsibilities of the selected candidate.
