Each fall, a new class of students arrives at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities full of promise, curiosity and ambition. New Student Convocation is one of the first moments when they experience the University as a true academic community — and faculty presence is central to that experience.
Convocation is more than a ceremony. It sets the tone for student engagement and reinforces the values of scholarship, community and shared purpose that define our land-grant mission.

Faculty who register before Friday, July 31 are guaranteed academic regalia if needed. All participants must register by August 20. Additional details regarding the assembly location will be shared closer to the event.
