Professional Education

The University of Minnesota educates a large portion of the professional workforce in the region with more than 250 professional degree programs and certificates, making significant contributions to educating and retaining a talented workforce in the state, region, and nationally. Administrative support for graduate and professional education is aligned to recognize the distinct educational mission of each college and community. The vice provost and dean for graduate and professional education provides strategic leadership and oversight of graduate and professional education, and the associate vice provost for professional education guides and advances collective efforts and initiatives of professional schools and programs at the University. 

Additionally, the Professional Education Council, made up of associate deans and program leaders from the University's professional schools, meets regularly to discuss and provide consultation on collective needs and topics of shared interest. For additional information, contact:
