Vice Provost and Dean for Undergraduate Education

The University of Minnesota is launching an internal search for its next vice provost and dean of undergraduate education. This leader will help shape the future of undergraduate education by providing strategic leadership for the undergraduate academic experience and partnering across the University to advance student success, academic excellence and innovation.

The vice provost and dean leads the Office of Undergraduate Education and works closely with collegiate and campus leaders to strengthen undergraduate programs, support curricular innovation, guide academic policy and expand opportunities for student success. The position plays a critical role in ensuring every undergraduate has the opportunity to thrive while advancing the University's strategic imperatives.

Applications and nominations

This 12-month senior academic administrative appointment is held concurrently with a faculty position at the University of Minnesota. The anticipated start is by the end of the fall 2026 semester, with terms and conditions negotiable based on the selected candidate's prior commitments and responsibilities.
